Every year in the United States, many people get diseases that vaccines can prevent.
- Vaccination is one of the best ways parents can protect infants, children, and teens from potentially harmful diseases.
- Immunizations are not just for children.
- Teens and adults are at risk for some vaccine-preventable diseases.
Newborns do not yet have fully developed immune systems, making them particularly vulnerable to infections.
Because of this, anyone who is around babies should be up to date on all routine vaccines, including:
- Whooping cough (Pertussis) vaccine:
(Including DTaP for children and Tdap for preteens, teens, adults, & grandparents)
- Flu vaccine during flu season
