Needle Disposal Program

The OCHD provides a safe way to dispose of used needles and syringes.

1. Pick up a free “sharps” container from the health department.
2. Place used needles in the “sharps” container.
3. Return the sharps container to the health department with used needles when it is full or when you have finished treatment. We will provide you with a new “sharps” container if needed.
